Nowadays I define myself as a Creative Entrepreneur. My name is Maete Porto, a Brazilian Graphic Designer who fell in love with prints and surface design. Surface Designer is someone that does drawings for surfaces like textiles, wallpapers, decoration objects, paper goods, etc.

As a Surface Designer with a background spanning Brazil and the United States, I've had the privilege of seeing how design can truly elevate a space. My passion for print design, in particular, was an unexpected discovery, igniting during my graphic design role at a home decor company. There, I experienced the remarkable, transformative impact a design has on a surface.

I'm a graphic designer with a bachelor's degree in Advertising and Marketing from UNISUL - SC, Brazil. My education also includes a specialization in Marketing and Fashion Design from ESPM - RS and a Master's in Design from UDESC - SC, all of which have significantly broadened and enriched my creative toolkit.
